Happy 15 months Sienna!

I know that this is a little bit late but Sienna turned 15 month on the 9th. We decided to head to Cooper's landing that night to celebrate Sienna's birthday with the Parcell family. It is really fun to watch Sienna with other children now. She thinks she is way bigger than she really is. She mostly tags behind the bigger kids:) She has her 15 month check up on the 20th so we can give all the new information then.

Here are some things Sienna does this month:)

  • Still eating like a champ! She really will eat almost anything you put in front of her. If she does not eat it by itself, if you add some ketchup then she will really eat it!
  • I know this is bad but she still takes 2 bottles a day. She really does not like to drink that milk out of a cup. I am paranoid about how much milk she gets a day so to make sure she gets enough we give her a bottle when she wakes up and when she goes to bed. I am sure that will be a topic of conversation at our doctor appointment.
  • Another topic will be the fact that she still has her binkey. She is less needy about it lately but still takes it at nap and bedtime.
  • Napping twice a day. Her naps range from 1 1/2-2 hours. She then goes to bed between 8-8:30 and then wakes up between 7-8. Sometimes she still wakes up in the middle of the night but will put herself back to sleep.
  • Her language is out of this world! She really talks up a storm. She will repeat pretty much anything you say and is now putting 2-3 words together. The other day she got so mad at me because she kept saying the same thing over and over again and I had no idea about what she was saying. Finally she grabbed my face and said whatever she was trying to get across. Again no idea what she said so she starting calling for "Daddy" thinking maybe he would help:) Also, last week at school they said they thought Sienna was vocal but she did not stop talking the whole day she was there and awake. I am sure she gets this trait from her dad:)!
  • She is such an affectionate baby. She loves to get hugs and loves to give kisses. Sometimes she will just walk up and give you a kiss on the leg and then walks away. Lately if Joey is holding her she wants him to give her a kiss then she wants me to give her a kiss. THEN she pushes our heads together so that Joey and I kiss. We think it is too funny and she just laughs the whole time she does it. Of course this gets repeated for a few minutes until she is done with the kisses for the day:)
  • Loves to swim! We head to the pool at least twice a week so that she can play in the water. She thinks she is big and can just walk in so we have to be very careful. She loves to watch the other kids and splash around. She has gotten a nice little tan going on so I am sure next year she will be our little brown baby!
  • Going to be an outside kind of kid. Everyday Sienna walks to the door or patio door and says outside. She either wants to go for a walk or she wants to go out back and hit the golf club around. She would stay outside forever if we let her! We try to go for a walk everyday and she likes it best when we walk in her cozy coop car. She usually goes straight to it if she is in the garage and starts saying walk. When we do go for the walk, it is usually around the neighborhood where she hangs outside of the side window kind of like a puppy!

We can't express the happiness that Sienna brings to us everyday but we hope she knows how much we love her!!
