The Scogin Family: Merry Christmas!

Sienna's 1st Christmas is here and it was a blast. On Christmas Eve, we headed to the 5pm church service. We sat in the back of the church in case we had to make a quick exit since Sienna had just awoken from a nap we were not expecting her to sleep during church like she normally does. She decided that she would growl at people as they walked into the auditorium. We kept laughing but I am sure everyone else might have not thought it was as funny. She only yelled out a couple of times during the service so we can not complain. After church we headed to the Maggard's house where we feasted on yummy soup, dips, veggies and of course desserts:) Sienna kept us all entertained with her talking, crawling and standing. She even got a new babydoll and new pj's from the Maggards. We then headed home so the little one could get into bed before Santa arrived. She woke up about 5:45 on Christmas morning just to eat so I had a feeling that she would sleep a little later. Joey however woke up at 7am waiting for Sienna and I to wake up and at 8 he was tired of waiting and came and got me up. We then decided to wake Sienna up and start opening presents. Last night snow started to fall so when we woke up today it was a white Christmas! When Sienna woke up, we opened the windows so she could see and she got really excited which was super cute to see. We headed downstairs where we each opened a gift one by one and enjoyed family time. It was really nice just the 3 of us and to see one's reactions to their gifts. Sienna got bored with opening gifts after about 20 minutes and crawled over to play with her toys. After gifts, we had breakfast, skyped with Matthew and Joey's dad Bill, talked to family members, watched movies, and took naps. Our day was filled with joy and laughter and I could not think of another way to spend our 1st Christmas as a family!
