Happy 17 months Sienna!

Another month has passed by and Sienna is 1 month older. It makes me a little sad to see her looking more and more like a little girl and less like a baby. To be honest, it makes me want to have another but I know that we will wait a few more years before even talking about it. Sienna become more independent every day. She is so smart too and just soaks up everything we do and say. Here are the highlights from the month:)

• No more binkey:( This is the big change in Sienna's life right now. Our doctor suggested that she get rid of it by 18 months so Joey had it in his head that on her 17 month birthday we were going cold turkey. Well let's just say that night was not a good one. She ended up crying so hard for it she made herself throw up. The next day we cut the tip of it off and told her it was broken. She asks for it every once in awhile. The big thing that I notice is that she is not sleeping for as long now.
• 2 naps still:) She will go down between 9:30 and 10:30 each morning and around 3 in the afternoon. She usually sleeps for about 2 hours each nap. Since taking away the binkey, it is only for about 1 1/2 hours but hopefully she will get back in the swing of things soon.
• Sleeping through the night without problems. She usually wakes up around 7 but if she happens to sneak into bed with Joey she can sleep until closer to 8:30!
• She is a good eater. Her favorite thing to eat is meat right now. The other night she ate an entire brat for dinner! She loves steak too.
• Loves to color! She has made lots of pics for the family and at least once a day asks to color
• Loves being outside. Between going for walks in our cozy coope and the park, she is happy:)
• Wearing 18 month clothes now. We tried to put 18 month pants on her the other day and they were too long and big. It looks like I will need to go upstairs and dig out the 12 month pants for this fall. As for t-shirts and onesies, they are 18 months.
• Learned to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Itsy Bitsy Spider. She likes to do the hand motions for each.
• Will be the Itsy Bitsy Spider for Halloween:)!!!
• Still drinking only milk and water. She drinks about 3-4 cups of strawberry milk each day and then sips on water in between.
• She got her left back tooth. Her right one is just now looking like it is coming in which means no fun for Joey and I:(
• Loves animals!! We got to the library and comes home with books mostly about animals especially puppies. I think we are going to have to get a dog soon just to keep her happy!
• Starting working on puzzles and loves them. I borrowed a very Melissa and Doug puzzles from a friend and it took her about 2 days before she was able to complete them without trouble.

This is all I can think of for now. All in all she is a happy and healthy baby. We are happy that she is ours!
