The Scogin Family: Sienna's first birthday and weekend filled events!

Yes I know this post is over a week old but things have been super crazy at our house lately. Sienna officially turned 1 on the 9th. We had a great time with all of the family in town. Matthew arrived on Thursday just in time to head to Sienna's school for her birthday party. We brough mini cupcakes, apple juice, and cheetos for all the kids and teachers. Sienna got to sit at the big kid table and she did look like such a big girl. Friday the rest of the family arrived. Mom, Dad, Megan, Bayleigh and Hudson pulled up around 10:30 to help join in the birthday fun. Friday morning I made 4 dozen cupcakes along with 4 1/2 dozen mini frosted cupcakes all before 10am. We let Sienna try out a cupcake after her breakfast since it was her birthday in all. Joey had to head to work in the morning for awhile so we went to eat lunch at Fudrucker's before stopping at Kohl's for a couple last presents. For Sienna's birthday dinner, we took the family to Old Hawthorne for dinner. It was a perfect day so we sat outside and watched everyone finish their round of golf. Sienna got excited each time a new group got on the 18th green:) After dinner we headed back to Stoney Creek Hotel so we could open presents and Bayleigh and Hudson could get some swimming in before heading to bed.

Saturday was the big party and Dad's 60th!!! Saturday morning we frosted the cupcakes and I made Dad he favorite pineapple upside down cupcakes! Sienna took a really good morning nap so she was all ready to go for the party that started at 12. We had lots of friends stop by to enjoy pizza, cake, and fun! Sienna loved watching and playing with the kids. She really enjoyed her cupcake and made quite the mess:) She got lots of fun gifts and by 2:30 was in a sugar coma for 2 hours! That night we headed to D'Rowe's to celebrate Dad's birthday. It was really nice to have all the kids in town for Dad's big day. Once again after dinner, we went back to the hotel so the kids including Sienna could swim before turning in for the night!

So I got this blow up cupcake for the party and it came with a sign that said "baby's 1st b-day" and one that day "happy birthday girl" we have decided that we are going to take Sienna's pic in front of it every year:)
